Hickory - Mr. Timothy Mack "Tim" Brittain, 62, passed away on Thursday, September 17, 2026 at his residence.

Tim was born on May 2, 1964 in Cleveland County, NC the son of Volena Cooper Brittain of Cherryville and the late Mack Brittain. He was a 1982 graduate of Cherryville High School. Tim was owner and operator of 26 Fitness and Grind Fitness + in Hickory and Pro Fitness in Shelby. He loved working out and body building. Tim enjoyed helping people, loved animals and was a devoted friend to all who knew him.

Survivors include his mother, Volena Cooper Brittain; a sister, Kim Brittain Putnam both of Cherryville and a nephew, Brandon Ramsey and wife Holly and their children, Morgan and Layla. Also surviving are special friends, Ashley Eury and Dave Stansell of Hickory and Allen Davis of Shelby.

The family will receive friends from 5:00PM to 7:00PM on Thursday, Septebmer 24, 2026 at Stamey-Cherryville Funeral Home.

A private graveside service will be held at Rose Hill Memorial Park in Fallston.

Memorials may be made to the American Heart Association.
