Cherryville - Mr. Tom Cole Beam, 86, formerly of Queens Rd. passed away on
Friday, October 26, 2018 at Carolina Care Health and Rehabilitation in
Cherryville.

Tom was born on March 7, 1932 in Gaston County, NC a son of the late Carl
Beam, Sr. and Elizabeth Leonhardt Beam. He was retired as a long line
driver from Carolina Freight Carriers Corporation. Tom was a member of
First Baptist Church in Cherryville and William B. "Dub" Beam Sunday School
Class and also a member of Cherryville Masonic Lodge #505 A.F. & A.M.,
Charlotte Scottish Rite, Oasis Shriners and Cherryville Shrine Club. Tom
also served in the United States Navy and was a member of Cherryville
American Legion Post 100..

In addition to his parents he was preceded in death by his wife, Patricia
Dellinger Beam; three brothers, Ray, Jake and Pratt Beam and three sisters
Nell Parker, Ruth Haxby and Dot Carpenter.

Survivors include two daughters and sons-in-law, Tonda Beam Christian and
husband Bill of Concord; Samantha Beam Moss and husband Tim of Cherryville;
five grandchildren, Taylor Christian, Tripp Christian (Cierra), Madison,
Landis and Chapel Moss; a sister, Kay B. Willis of Cherryville and Carl
"Bug" Beam, Jr. of Mississippi.

Visitation will be from 1:30 to 2:45PM on Sunday, October 28, 2018 at First
Baptist Church in Cherryville and at other times the family will be at the
home of Samantha and Tim Moss, 302 W. Ballard Street.

Funeral Services will be held at 3:00PM on Sunday, October 28, 2018 at First
Baptist Church with Dr. Vince Hefner officiating.

Burial will be at City Memorial Cemetery with Military and Masonic Rites.

Cherryville, NC 28021.
