Tony Eugene Sams, age 36, formerly of Hickory, died Wednesday November 26, 2014 at his home. Born in Glasgow Ky., he was the son of Tony W. and Michele B. Sams. Tony was a Golf Professional and a member of the PGA, He most recently worked at Lake Hickory Country Club. Tony is preceded in death by his grandparents, G. Paul and Rose V. Sams and Gene and Christeen Blankenship.

In addition to his parents Tony is survived by his daughter, Eva Marie Sams and Eva’s mother, Bryttani Gillum both of Granite Falls; a loving  brother Michael Paul Sams of Shelby; niece and nephew, Michael Paul Sams II and Maddox Grace Sams both of Rock Hill; and several loving aunts, uncles and cousins.

The Funeral Mass will be celebrated on Monday, December 1, 2014 at 11;00 am at St. Mary Help of Christians Catholic Church, in Shelby, with Father Michael Kottar celebrant.

In lieu of flowers,  memorials can be made to; Eva Marie Sams, 114 Eagles Terrace, Shelby NC 28150.
