Please note that the luminary display on Court Square will be postponed to Friday, December 23rd. The response this year has been much stronger than in recent years, but rain will ruin the appearance and emotional quality of this event. We want this to be a beautiful and dignified event.
 
Due to the strong rain chances for tonight we have consulted with Mr. Cline Hamrick and are cancelling the carriage rides tonight as well.
 
Please note that First National Bank’s Santa’s House and Santa’s Toyland will be open tonight as originally scheduled. Santa is magical, but umbrella’s are advised.
 
The 2011 Christmas Parade is this Sunday afternoon and the weather forecast is perfect. If your business is on Lafayette Street, please remember that streets will be closed by the City at 1:30 p.m. and cars left on that street will be towed. Please join in the fun!
