Vera Magaleen Dellinger, 87, of Kings Mountain, NC, passed away on July 01, 2018 at White Oak Manor in Kings Mountain, NC. Born in Gaston County, NC, to the late Robert Lee Short and Ollie Wood Smith Short and was preceded in death by her husband of 59 years, Crayton "Red" Dellinger. She was also preceded in death by her brothers, Oscar Short and Junior Short and sisters, Lilly Walker, Alice McNeilly and Mildred Lefevers. Vera was a member of Calvary Baptist Church in Shelby, NC, where she participated in the Happy Hearts Senior Group. She was a long time volunteer with the Greater Cleveland County Baptist Association and loved growing flowers. Vera will be greatly missed by all who knew and loved her.

SURVIVORS: Son: Barry Dellinger and wife DiAnne, Shelby, NC and Richard Dellinger and fiance, Gwen Spikes of Grover, NC

Daughter: Cathy Marshall and husband, Bo of Shelby, NC

Grandchildren: Dana Trammel and husband David, Richard Dellinger Jr. and wife Tammie, Kimberly Barwell, all of Grover, NC and Cynthia Marshall of Shelby, NC

5 Great Grandchildren and 5 Great-Great Grandchildren

FUNERAL SERVICE: Tuesday, July 3, 2018 at Ollie Harris Memorial Chapel at 2:00 PM with Rev. Tony Sisk officiating

VISITATION: Tuesday, July 3, 2018 from 1:00 PM to 2:00 PM prior to the service at Harris Funeral Home

INTERMENT: Mountain Rest Cemetery, Kings Mountain, NC
