Burns Color Guard

   A crowd gathered on the courtsquare in Uptown Shelby to pay tribute to all who have served in our military and all who are still serving. Veterans Day, 2013 was once again, a very special occasion.  Mayor Stan Anthony gave a welcome. Burns High School Color Guard opened the ceremony. The First Baptist Church of Shelby Youth Choir sang the National Anthem followed by an invocation by Preacher Joe Edwards.
