Vickie Childers Black, 61, passed away on Saturday, September 4, 2021 at Atrium Health - Cleveland in Shelby.

Vickie was born September 11, 1959 in Cleveland County a daughter of the late Melton Childers and Linda Brooks Blanton.

She was a graduate of Cherryville High School Class of 1978. Vickie was retired as an office manager for Griffin's Professional Hearing Aid Center in Shelby. She was a member of New Buffalo Baptist Church in Grover.

Survivors include her husband, Jacob Black, of the home; a son, Tyler Ingle of Mooresboro; a sister, Debbie Barrett and a brother David Blanton both of Vale.

Funeral services will be held at 3:00PM on Sunday, September 12, 2021 at New Buffalo Baptist Church in Grover with the Rev. Michael Rote officiating.

Burial will follow the service in the church cemetery.

Due to COVID-19 it is requested that all attendees wear a mask and practice social distancing.

Memorials may be made to the donor's choice.
