Wanda Jean Beaver, 67, of Shelby passed away on July 27, 2026 at Atrium Health - Cleveland.

Wanda was born on February 21, 1959 in Cleveland County, to the late Ray Pittman Thrift and Ella Mae Roberson Thrift.

In addition to her parents, she was preceded in death by her husband, Phillip Dean Beaver.

Survivors include two sons, Chris Beaver and wife, Tia of Lawndale and Mike Beaver of Shelby; four grandchildren, Austin Anthony, Payton Beaver, Cassidy Beaver and Tyler Beaver and two brothers, Randy Ray Thrift and wife, JoAnn of Cherryville and Donald Wayne Thrift of Shelby and numerous nieces and nephews.

A memorial service will be held at 2:00pm on Sunday, August 2, 2026 at Stamey-Tysinger Funeral Home Chapel with Rev. Rick Asbury and Rev. Chad Beam officiating.

The family will greet friends following the service.

Burial will be private.
