William "Bill" Mullinax
SHELBY- William "Bill" Mullinax, 62, died Monday, July 17, 2017 at Carolinas Medical Center-Charlotte. He was born in Cherokee Co., SC to the late William Lamar and Helen Stroup Mullinax. He was a member of Liberty Baptist Church. He was an avid fisherman and especially loved fishing on Lake Wateree, Clemson football, golfing, and was always ready to lend a helping hand to anyone in need. He was a gentle giant of a man.
PRECEDED: In addition to his parents, he was preceded in death by his sister, Gerri Davis.
SURVIVED: He is survived by his loving wife of 28 years, Gay Turner Mullinax, of the home; son Todd Mullinax and wife Jennifer of Shelby; sisters Brenda Lanier and husband Keith of Gaffney, and Dorothy Byars and husband Willie of Mooresboro; brother Tony Mullinax and wife Andrea of Chattanooga, Tn.; numerous nieces and nephews; special friend Charlie Chapman; and faithful canine companion Scooter.
VISITATION: The family will receive friends one hour prior to the service at the church
MEMORIAL SERVICES: will be held Thursday, July 20, 2017 at 11 AM at Liberty Baptist Church
OFFICIATING: Rev. Mack Tester will be officiating
