William "Billy" Scott Lewis, was born August 15, 1962 in Cumberland, MD, growing up in Mt. Pleasant, MD. Billy took his last journey October 17, 2025 while traveling from Florida to Shelby, North Carolina on his way back to Frederick, MD. He passed away of natural causes.

Billy was predeceased by his parents, Carlton Ward Lewis and Dorothy Jean (Brinkman) of Mt. Pleasant, his sister Carla Lewis of Frederick and brother Terry Lewis of Cumberland.

He leaves behind a wonderful son, Ryan Lewis, of Myersville; brother Carlton Lewis (Karen) of Hagerstown and sisters Jeanne Lewis, New Windsor and Krista Appleby of New Market, several nephews and nieces and many close friends, as well as a very special friend, Laura Williams, in Florida.

Billy retired and spent the last few years trolling from beach to beach fishing up and down the East Coast, traveling between Florida and MD, taking all the back roads to find all the cool stuff, chatting with everyone he met and helping the people that he loved. Living the life he loved, on his own terms, every day. When in Frederick, he was happily the Senior Vice President of Happy Wavy Guy Maintenance at Spectrum Carpet Cleaning.

Arrangements in North Carolina are by Robert Morgan Funeral Services, Shelby NC. Interment will be at Rose Hill Cemetery, 535 Fayette Street, Cumberland, MD 21502. A Graveside Service will be announced to family and friends at a later date.
