William Creed Click, Jr.

William Creed Click, Jr. age 72, died Wed., April 16,2025. A native of Shelby, Cleveland County North Carolina. He was born July 21,1952 and he was the son of the late William Creed Click, Sr. and Mary Helen Painter Click. In addition to his parents, he was preceded in death by his brother Francis Edward Painter b,1933, his sister, Shirley Jeanette Painter b. Dec 17,1935, his half-sister, Geneva Click Abercrombie and his half-brother Warren Edward "Ed" Click.

William graduated from North Carolina School for the Deaf in Morganton, NC with Class of 1972. He worked at Dover Textiles-Ora Mill and Cone Mill till retirement. He was a member of First Baptist Church, Deaf ministry, Table Rock ARRP Chapter #1057, Sunshine Deaf Club, Deaf Night Out and many other religious deaf socials such as Together in Christ Conference, Deaf Rally Day and many other deaf events such as school Homecoming or Deaf Expos. He loved to go to family reunions in Del Rio, Newport and Knoxville, Tennessee, and visit many his relatives there. If you knew "Billy", he always sharing great rich family history, loved church, eat out and always had a great story to tell.

He is survived by his nephews, Harley Abercrombie and wife Janell of Shelby, Terry Abercrombie Sr. and wife Lisa of Boiling Springs; great-nephew, Terry Abercrombie Jr.; great-nieces, Jamie, Meganne and Heidi Abercrombie; and great­ great-nephew, Haydn Abercrombie, and many host of cousins. The family would like to thank the VA Partners and Hospice Nurses and CNAs and Dr. Elizabeth Scism for their wonderful care 9 months and home visits at John Berry and Martha Hamrick (cousin) 's home as caregivers for many years.

A funeral service to celebrate the life of William will be held on Tuesday, April 22 at 11:00 am in the Webb Chapel at First Baptist Church in Shelby with the Rev. Asher Panton, Rev. Frank Parson, and Rev. Glen Davenport officiating. Internment will follow in Sunset Cemetery in Shelby.

The family of William will receive friends from 6:00 pm - 8:00 pm on Monday, April 21, 2025 at Stamey-Tysinger Funeral Home, 846 East Stagecoach Trail, Fallston, NC 28042, and Tuesday morning from 10:00 am - 10:45 am in the Webb Chapel of First Baptist Church of Shelby.
