William Downing Albright, Jr. (Bill) passed away at the age of 83 on Thursday, February 27, 2025 at Wendover Hospice in Shelby, NC surrounded by his family.

He was born on July 26, 1941 in Charleston, West Virginia to the late William D. Albright, Sr. and Imogene C. Albright. He is survived by his wife of 57 years, June J. Albright and son Trey Albright along with his wife Nicole Albright and two grandchildren, Will and Nick Albright. He is also survived in death by his brother, Robert B. Albright, his wife Lucreita Albright, and many nieces and nephews.

Bill served in the United States Military with the Army and then graduated from the University of Charleston, WV. He worked for 58 years as an accountant and retired from Greg Blalock, CPA. He also was a member of El Bethel United Methodist Church in Kings Mountain, NC.

The funeral service will be held on Saturday, March 1, 2025 at 5:00 PM in the sanctuary of El Bethel United Methodist Church in Kings Mountain, NC with Rev. Julie Roberts officiating. The family will receive friends immediately following the service in the church fellowship hall.

A private interment will be held in the church columbarium.
