Mr. William Herman Hughes, Sr., 85, of Shelby, passed away on Thursday, January 12, 2012. Services were held at Cleveland Funeral Services Chapel. Burial was held in Sunset Cemetery.

Mr. Hughes served our country in the US Army during WWII. 

He was preceded in death by his wife, Earline Watts Hughes; his parents, Will Hughes & Ethel Barrett Hughes and 4 brothers and 2 sisters.

He is survived by two sons: Billy Hughes and wife Cindy of Shelby and Marc Hughes of Shelby; one daughter:, Jean Peeler and husband Hugh of Shelby; 2 grandchildren and 1 great-grandchild and a number of nieces and nephews.
