Mrs. Willie Faye Huskey Degree, 82, of Shelby, NC was born to her late parents David and Geneva Jamison on April 19, 1944. She transitioned from this earthly life on Saturday, May 23, 2026 in the comfort of her own residence. She was affectionately called "Faye" by her loved ones.

In additions, Faye was preceded in death by her late husband; Joe Dean Huskey; son, Darrell Dean Huskey Sr.; grandson; Darrell Dean Huskey Jr.; brothers, Bobby Gene Wilson and Franklin Manning; and sisters, Geneva Fuller and Khalilah B. El-Amin.

Left to carry on her legacy are her husband of eighteen years, Gerome Degree; two sons, Milton Huskey of Shelby, NC, and Tyrus Huskey of Charlotte, NC; nine grandchildren, Sergio Woods, Deonna Mitchell, Tierra Littlejohn, Latoria Kuskey, Cha-kayla Johnson, Riley Strauser, Rebecca Fitch, Aspen Huskey, and Channon Huskey; twelve great grand children; sister, Carolyn Walker of Kings Mountain, NC; two step daughters, Deborah Degree and Camilla Degree; two step sons. Terry Degree and Kenyon Degree, all of Shelby, NC; brother in law, Aqeel El-Amin; a very special best friend who was like a sister, Mrs. Deborah Roberts of Grover, NC; and a host of nephews, nieces, cousins, and friends.

Funeral services were held on Sunday, May 31, 2026, at 3 p.m. at Shoal Creek Baptist Church with burial in the church cemetery.
