Mrs. Ailene Hubbard, age 81 of Shelby, NC, went to be with her Lord and Savior on Friday, April 10, 2015 at Wendover Hospice House. A celebration of life service will be held 2:00 pm Tuesday, April 14, 2015 at Cleveland Funeral Services and Crematory Chapel conducted by Dr. Bo Wagner. A visitation will be held one hour prior to the service at the funeral home. Burial will follow at Cleveland Memorial Park.

She is survived by a son, Stanley Hubbard and wife Anne of Lawndale, NC, a daughter, Marian Aderholdt of Shelby, NC, two grandchildren, Landon Hubbard and Kaitlyn Aderholdt, a sister, Elva Rea Myra and husband Julian of Jacksonville, FL, and several nieces and nephews.

Born June 9, 1933 in Shelby NC, Mrs. Hubbard was the daughter of the late Newell and Stella (Smith) Morrow and was preceded in death by her husband, Fred Hubbard and a sister, Mary Lou Mason. Mrs. Hubbard was a member of Cornerstone Baptist Church. She was retired from Hoescht Celanese after working more than 20 years. She enjoyed traveling, sewing, and cooking before her health failed.
