SHELBY- Stephen Davis Linnens, fondly known as Steve, of Shelby, NC, passed away peacefully surrounded by his family on August 8, 2026, at the age of 69.

SHELBY- James Andrew Williams, affectionately known to all as Jimmy, passed away peacefully at his home on August 11, 2026, at the age of 69.

Wayne D. Mitchem, age 75, of Forest City, passed away Monday, August 10, 2026 at Spartanburg Regional Medical Center.

Howard Louie Patterson, age 88, of Rutherfordton, passed away Monday, August 10, 2026 at Rutherford Regional Medical Center.

Sarah Stephens Stanley, of Smyrna, Georgia, passed away peacefully on August 10, 2026.

Naomi Faye Hampton Childers, 75, passed away Thursday, August 6th, 2026 at Valley Falls Terrace in Spartanburg.

Tommy Quay Peeler, age 84, of Vale, passed away Monday, August 10, 2026, at CaroMont Regional Medical Center.

Robert Lee Murray, born on May 13, 1944, in Rutherford County, North Carolina, passed away on July 31, 2026, at Atrium Health Hospital in Shelby, North Carolina.

Gary Walter Ritchie, 78, of Shelby, North Carolina, passed away surrounded by the love of his family. He was born in Valdese, North Carolina, on August 9, 1947.

Doris Hoyle Lowery, 88, of Shelby N.C., passed away peacefully on August 7, 2026. A native of Cleveland County, she was born on November 3, 1937, to the late Jack David and Flavie Brittain Hoyle of Lawndale, N.C.

Martha Jane Spake Shields, 97, passed away peacefully on Thursday, August 6, 2026, at Hospice Wendover in Shelby.

SHELBY- Our dad, Randy William Robbins was born December 7th, 1954, in Springfield, Ohio, but he grew up down the road in South Charleston.

I suppose the task at hand, telling strangers and acquaintances, people who aren't close enough to already know the news, that Germaine Lockman passed at 88, surprisingly to her daughter and granddaughter, who thought she would pass at 95, is easiest.
