Allie Mozelle Jenkins Eaker, 91, of Oak Hollow Rd. passed away Sunday, August 20, 2017 at Alexandria Place. She was born September 15, 1925 in Gaston County to the late Lee Andrew and Essie Vivian Mauney Jenkins. Allie was a member of Hephzibah Presbyterian Church and cherished time spent with her grandchildren and great-grandchildren. She enjoyed gardening, sewing, and cooking and was an all-around wonderful homemaker.

In addition to her parents, she is preceded in death by her husband, Herman Alfred Eaker Sr.; and siblings, Viola Dellinger, Ruth Dellinger and Dorcas Hunter Jenkins.

She is survived by her children, Janet Harrelson of Dallas, Herman Eaker and wife, Gayle of Gastonia, Jerry Eaker of Gastonia, Gene Eaker and wife, Patty of Kings Mountain; grandchildren, Erik Eaker and John Brooks, Erin Flaherty and husband, Josh, Richard Harrelson, Deborah Rodriguez, Michael Eaker, Kim Rathbone and husband, Ervin, Jamie Eaker, Jeffrey Eaker and wife, Sonya, and Angie Gault and husband, Tripp; twelve great-grandchildren and ten great-great-grandchildren; and siblings, Raymond Jenkins and Ruby Tedder.

Funeral Services will be held Wednesday, August 23, 2017 at 2:00 PM at Carpenter-Porter Funeral & Cremation Services with Rev. Leonard Bumgarner officiating. Burial will follow at Cherryville City Memorial Cemetery. Family will receive friends on Wednesday from 12:30 - 1:45 PM at the funeral home.
