Annie Whaley Fowler
 Mrs. Annie Whaley Fowler, 86, of 309 Cinnabar St., died Friday, June 10, 2011 at Hospice at Wendover. A native of Cleveland County, she was the daughter of the late Ollie and Sallie Mae Johnson Emery. Annie worked in the textile industry and was a member of Poplar Springs Baptist Church.

PRECEDED: In addition to her parents, she is preceded in death by her husband A.B. Wesley Fowler; four children, Betty Jean Hawkins, Nellie Wade, Dorothy Burns, and Kenneth Fowler; and great grandsons, Wesley McSwain and Noah Alexander Whaley.

SURVIVED: She is survived by her seven sons, Johnny Whaley, David Whaley and Wife Mary, Steve Whaley, Wesley Fowler and wife Tammy, Mike Fowler and wife Janice, Stacey Fowler and wife Jamie, and Charles Fowler; eight daughters, Ina Maloney and husband Carol, Carolyn Hamrick and husband Boyd, Brenda Ledford and husband Steve, Susie Stevens and husband Sam, Doris Whisnant, Carolyn Craig, Linda Robbins, and Mary Elizabeth Elmore; four sisters, Mint Sentell, Etta Ella Whaley, Frances Huffman, and Daisy Emery; four brothers, Grady, Buddy, Robert, and Willie Emery, 56 grandchildren; 85 great grandchildren; 21 great great grandchildren; and many nieces and nephews.

SERVICES: Services will be held, Sunday, 1pm, at Clay-Barnette Funeral Home Chapel.

VISITATION: Visitation will be held two hours prior to the service.

CLERGY: Rev. Dennis Bingham will be officiating.

BURIAL: Burial will immediately follow in Poplar Springs Baptist Church Cemetery.
