| Deputy Jordan Piercy is Scholarship Recipient |

Sheriff Alan Norman is proud to announce that Deputy Jordan Piercy has been selected to receive a $1,000 scholarship from the North Carolina Sheriff’s Association. Deputy Piercy was selected as one of only twelve recipients throughout the state as a result of his academic prowess, community involvement and professional accomplishments in the field of criminal justice. Deputy Piercy attends Western Carolina University while working full time. Scholarships from the North Carolina Sheriff’s Association are awarded to full time officers who are full time undergraduate students majoring in criminal justice. Deputy Piercy has been employed by the Cleveland County Sheriff’s Office for approximately three years. Deputy Piercy is dually sworn as a detention officer and a deputy through North Carolina Sheriff’s Standards.
