Dorothy Classec Rumfelt Wyatt

Dorothy Classec Rumfelt Wyatt, moved to her home in Heaven, Sat., Oct. 22, 2016. She was born March 10, 1920 in Belmont, to the late Conner G. and Lacy Poole Rumfelt. She was married to the late Rev. J.D. Roland Wyatt. Mrs. Wyatt faithfully served alongside her husband, during his 39 years of service as pastor, of six different Baptist Churches in North Carolina. She was a member of Patterson Springs Baptist Church, where she enjoyed visiting with the homebound members of the church, and teaching the TEL Sunday school class.

PRECEDED: In addition to her husband and parents, she was also preceded in death by her sister, Samantha; and brothers, Lloyd, George and Graham Rumfelt.

SURVIVED: She is survived by three daughters, Nancy Biggers and husband John of Morehead City, Brenda Traynhyam and husband David of Lake Junaluska, and Doris Stroup and husband Neal of Grover; son, Jimmy Wyatt and wife Karen of Statesville; eight grandchildren; 14 great-grandchildren; sisters, Joan Hoffman of Gastonia, and Jean Robinson of Denver; and sister-in-law, Frances Frady of Belmont.

VISITATION: The family will receive friends following the service, in the church sanctuary

FUNERAL SERVICES: Funeral services will be held 2pm, Monday, at Patterson Springs Baptist Church

OFFICIATING: The Revs. Steve Waters and Michael Sepaugh will officiate

BURIAL: a private burial will be held in the church cemetery
