Cherryville - Mrs. Evelyn Beam Cooper, 85, of Flay Road, passed away on
Sunday, June 18, 2017 at the home of her daughter.

Mrs. Cooper was born in Lincoln County, NC on May 6, 1932, a daughter of the
late Charles Stowe Beam and Hessie Novella Bess Beam. She was a homemaker
and a member of Bess Chapel United Methodist Church where she served in many
capacities including, secretary and treasurer, Methodist Women, bereavement
committee and was a member of the Men and Ladies Sunday School Class.

In addition to her parents she was preceded in death by her husband of 54
years, Glenn Cooper and two sisters, Sue Wentz and Janice Peterson.

Survivors include a daughter, Glenda Boyles and husband Bayne of Vale; a
son, Tony Cooper of Cherryville; four grandchildren, Chris Boyles, Amisti
Costner, Anna Abernathy, and Cody Cooper and seven great grandchildren,
Cooper, Ella and Gage Boyles; Tristen and Gavin Costner and Adelyn Cooper

Visitation will be on Tuesday, June 20, 2017 from 12:45 to 1:45PM at Bess
Chapel United Methodist Church and at other times the family will be at the
home of Glenda and Bayne Boyles, 551 Tower Road, Vale.

Funeral Services will be held on Tuesday, June 20, 2017 at 2:00PM at Bess
Chapel United Methodist Church with Revs. Bill Taylor and Randi Godfrey
officiating.

Burial will be in the church cemetery.
