Margaret "Margy" Varney, age 66, of Pin Oak Manor Lane, Rutherfordton, died Tuesday, March 13, 2018 at the White Oak Manor in Rutherfordton.
Born July 29, 1951 in Nicholas County, West Virginia, she was a daughter of the late Russell E. Brown and Mona Nutter Brown. She attended Wellington High School and was a homemaker. She was loved dearly by her family.
In addition to her parents, she was preceded in death by one granddaughter, Kimmie Varney.
Those left to cherish her memory include her husband of thirty-eight years, Phillip Varney; three sons, Jim Varney of West Salem, Ohio, Jason Varney and wife, Heather of Rutherfordton and Jeremy Varney also of Rutherfordton; one sister, Kitty Brown of Sandusky, Ohio; two brothers, Russell Brown and Richard Brown and wife, Jan all of Wellington, Ohio. She is also survived by ten grandchildren, Natasha Varney Wooster, Brooklyn Conley (Eric), Jerrod Varney, Kyler Conley (Adrianna), Samantha Varney (Fernando), Jacob Varney, Tiffany Varney, Branson Conley, Jaylin Varney, Mattie Varney and two great-grandchildren, Kody Schuh and Sophia Conley.
The funeral service will be conducted at 3:00 p.m. on Friday, March 16, 2018 at the Harrelson Funeral Chapel with Reverend Ernie Cole officiating. Interment will follow in Rutherford County Memorial Cemetery. The family will receive friends one hour prior to service time at the funeral home.
