Miss Shelby Pageant Winners

The Miss Shelby/Miss Shelby Outstanding Teen Pageant was held on Saturday, February 22 to a sold out crowd of over 350 people in attendance. Molly McKinney won the “Miss Shelby” portion of the competition. Rachel Mower was named “Outstanding Teen”. These winners will represent Shelby and Cleveland County in the North Carolina pageant this June.  If they win the NC competition, they will go on to compete for Miss America.
McKinney received a scholarship from Gardner-Webb University for $15,000 a year for 4 years and a 2 year full scholarship to Cleveland Community College. Leigh, Miss Shelby first runner-up, received a scholarship from Gardner-Webb University for $10,000 a year for 4 years.
