Pinnacle Classical Academy Open Enrollment Begins
The open enrollment period for Pinnacle Classical Academy will run from January 3rd through March 14, 2014 at 4:00 pm.   Pinnacle Classical Academy will hold student lead tours at the school located at 900 S. Post Road, Shelby, on January 10th and 17th, February 7th and 21st, and March 7th and 14th from 9:00-11:00 am.  The tours will last approximately twenty minutes each and give parents and prospective new students an opportunity to visit classrooms and meet with school staff.  A sign-up form is located on our website, www.pinnacleclassicalacademy.com, or you may also call the school at 704-740-4040 to schedule a tour.
Dr. Danielle Robertson stated, “We are excited to roll out the red carpet to give our incoming parents and their children an introduction to their new school.  We plan a quick tour and will spend time with parents to answer questions.  Pinnacle is a tuition free, public charter school with a college prep curriculum for K-7 in 2014 and will continue to add a grade each year.  There are a limited number of openings, as we are allowed by state law to increase our enrollment by only 20% each year. “  Pinnacle will enroll 62 additional students for a total enrollment of 370 students.  The majority of the new students enrolled will be in Kindergarten classes.
In addition to our student lead tours, the PCA Board Members will also hold Town Meetings on January 26th, February 9th, and March 9th.  These Sunday afternoon sessions allow working parents an opportunity for a weekend visit and will begin at 3PM at the school and include a tour of classrooms.
The detailed Enrollment Policy and an Initial Application are located on the school website under “Students”. Forms may be completed online and/or brought to the school’s main office or picked up at the school, completed at home, and submitted in the office. All forms must reach the school before the March 14, 2014 four o’clock deadline.
Pinnacle Classical Academy is limited to the enrollment of 62 additional students.
Based on the high numbers of 2013 applications, a lottery is expected.
