Pro Rodeo Returns to The BAR H Arena
The 27th annual Bar H Championship Rodeo & Country Festival will be held at the Bar H Arena in Boiling Springs, NC on Friday, May 9 and Saturday, May 10. The country festival will begin each day at 6pm and will be followed by the championship rodeo at 8pm. Admission includes the festival and rodeo.
Gate admission is $12 for adults and $6 for a child between 6-12 years of age. Advance tickets are adults $10 and children $5. Children under 6 are free with an adult. Senior citizens (62 & over) will be admitted Friday, May 9 at the child’s price. Advance tickets will be on sale through Wednesday, May 7 at the following locations: Cleveland Feed & Farm Supply and Kelly’s Seafood in Shelby; Bridges Riding Equipment and Humphries Quick Stop in Boiling Springs, NC; and Oakland Feed in Spindale.
The 2014 Country Festival and Championship Rodeo will be a 100% family oriented event. The country festival will include the following free activities: kid’s carnival rides, hayride, BB Gun shooting range, roping booth, a country music band, stick horse race and many other fun activities , where kids can win prizes. Codytown, which is full of antiques, will be available for viewing. An array of vendors will also be offering games and foods. Flint Hill Baptist Church will again be serving their great food, including hotdogs, hamburgers, B-B-Q , ribbon fires, corn on the cob, and mouth watering turkey legs.
The rodeo will entail bareback bronc riding, calf roping, cowgirls’ break-away roping, team roping, cowgirls’ barrel racing, and bull riding and feature some of the top rodeo athletes in the nation. Each event is co-sanctioned by the Southern States Professional Rodeo Association and the National Cowboys Association for championship points and cash prizes. There will also be a new spectacular tribute to God & Country. So dust off your hat, get your boots, get into your jeans and come on out for a fast paced, colorful night of thrills, laughter and surprises.
