The Children's Homes of Cleveland County announces new Executive Director

Children's Homes of Cleveland County (CHCC) announces Peter Bagley as the agency's next Executive Director. He has 25 years of experience in human services and organizational leadership and has served children and families in Nova Scotia, Indiana and Georgia since 1994.
Bagley has a Master of Arts degree in Ministerial Leadership from Indiana Wesleyan University and a Master of Science in Human Services Administration from Lubbock Christian University. He brings a broad-based knowledge of the Foster Care and Juvenile Justice Systems, Family Systems Theory, Risk Management, and Organizational Leadership. Peter has forged relationships with many family service agencies and advocacy groups throughout the United States in order to understand and adapt to the changing landscape of child welfare. He is an ardent advocate for children and youth in foster care, for socially and economically marginalized citizens, and for the application of best practices and evidence-based tools to address their needs.
Bagley, and his wife of 30 years, Patty, have three children and two grandsons. They love the great outdoors and have made it their mission to visit at least one National Park every year. Bagley enjoys reading, photography, hiking, golf, rugby, the NFL, world history, volunteering, and working on home improvements. He is an active Rotarian, a multiple Paul Harris Fellow and an ordained minister in the Wesleyan Church.
About joining CHCC, Bagley notes, "For over 30 years my journey has been preparing me for the opportunity to lead and invest in an organization like CHCC. When fate brought us together it became very clear that this is where I should be and these are the people with whom I belong. Rewarding work, with wonderful people in an amazing community is all a guy could ask for. I am honored to be joining CHCC; to quote Teddy Roosevelt, 'Far and away the best prize that life has to offer is the chance to work hard at work worth doing.'"
Kathy Wilson, who chaired the search committee, is excited about Bagley joining the agency. She says, "We conducted a nationwide search for a leader for Children's Homes of Cleveland County. Peter has the broad-based experience we were looking for and is an excellent fit. We are excited for CHCC's future."
Bagley, who will replace the retiring Margie Christopher, will assume the post on January 2, 2019.
