| Ada Lail Moses, 87, of Morganton, NC went home to be with her Savior on Tuesday, December 13, 2011 following a period of declining health. Born in Rutherford County, NC on December 11, 1924, she was the daughter of the late Dock Ben Lail and Bessie Lee Bridges Lail. Ada was a member of Cross Memorial Baptist Church and was a retired employee of Grace Hospital. She was a member of Friendly Tuesdays and the Senior’s Group at the Senior Citizen Center.
Ada is survived by her sons, James Sipes and wife, Judy, of Mooresville, NC, Robert Sipes and wife, Mildred, of Mooresville, and George Moses of Hickory, NC; daughters, Joyce Simmons and husband, Hubert, of China Grove, NC, Maxine Best of Dallas, NC, Ann Penley and husband, Clarence, of Morganton, Kathy Little and husband, Marvin, of Conover, NC, and Patti Edwards and husband, Allen, of Morganton; a brother, Bennie Lail of South Carolina; twenty-three grandchildren; and a host of great-grandchildren and great-great-grandchildren.
In addition to her parents, Ada was preceded in death by her first husband, Ralph Sipes; her second husband, Hershal E. Moses; and sisters, Geneva Newton and Jeanette Partain.
The funeral will be held at 1:00 p.m., Saturday, December 17, 2011 at Cross Memorial Baptist Church with Reverends Jeff Beach and Clyde Buckner officiating. Burial will follow in Burke Memorial Park.
