Allene Griffin Morgan, 69, of 129 New Bethel Church Road, Lawndale, passed
away Thursday, January 5, 2012 at Gaston Memorial Hospital in Gastonia.
Mrs. Morgan was born in Gaffney, SC on January 29, 1942 a daughter of the
late Barney Griffin and Mae Mullinax Griffin Walker. She was a homemaker
and a member of Redeemed Pentecostal Holiness Church.
Survivors include her husband of 18 years, Jimmy K. Morgan of the home;
three sons, Ricky Morgan and wife, Kim of Sanford, Fl; Jimmy Lynn of Teague,
TX and Clyde Lynn and wife, Shannon of Gastonia; three daughters, Teresa L.
Love and April L. Hunter both of Gastonia and Chastity McDaniel of Bessemer
City; thirteen grandchildren and seventeen great-grandchildren.
Visitation will be on Saturday, January 7, 2012 from 6:00 PM to 8:00 PM, at
Stamey Funeral Home, Fallston.
Funeral Service will be held 2:00 PM, Sunday, January 8, 2012 at Redeemed
Pentecostal Holiness Church with Rev. Coye Sanders officiating. The body
will be placed in the church thirty minutes prior to the service.
Burial will follow in the church cemetery.
