Bobby Fred Burgess, 53, of 134 St. Paul Church Road, Lawndale, passed away,
Wednesday, June 8, 2011 at Carolinas Medical Center - Charlotte.
Born January 9, 1958 in Cleveland County, he was the son of the late Fred
Clifford Burgess and Ila Mae Ellis Burgess. He was a great husband, father,
pawpaw, and brother. He was always there to give a helping hand and lived
life the way he wanted. If he could make you laugh, he was happy. Mr.
Burgess was employed at Young Group 5 storage facilities in the maintanence
department. He was a member of the Shelby Seventh Day Adventist Church and
was a pround member of the NRA. His many hobbies include gold prospecting,
knife, coin, and head knocker collecting. He was a person with a collecting
spirit.
In addition to his parents, he was preceded in death by two sisters, Donnie
Ellis and Agnes Beason.
Survivors include his wife of twenty seven years, Elizabeth Marie Hanel
Burgess, two daughters, Melissa Sexton of Wilmington and Jennifer Burgess of
Lawndale, grandson, Aidan Sexton of wolmington, and three sisters, Nancy
Dennis of Shelby, Linda Barnett of Lawndale, and Denise Allen of Shelby.
Visitation will be held at Stamey Funeral Home on Friday June, 10, 2011 from
2:30 until 4:00PM.
The funeral service will be held at 4:00PM Friday at Stamey Funeral Home
Chapel with Pastor Manny Vela officiating.
Burial will follow at Rose Hill Memorial Park.

Church Rd. Shelby, NC 28152.
