Carolyn Ann Layton, age 61, of Forest City, NC, died Friday, January 21, 2011 at Henderson Care Center.

     Carolyn was born June 2, 1949 in Rutherford County, NC to the late Osborne T. Suggs and Myrtle Eugenia Sisk Suggs.  She was a graduate of the RS Central High School Class of 1967 and worked as a Civil Service Clerk.  She was a member of Long Branch Road Baptist Church. 

     Survivors include one daughter, Laura Burns Keel and husband, Christopher of Spring Lake, NC; one son, Larry Burns of Camden, SC; one brother, Claude Suggs of Forest City; two sisters, Susan Russell of Norfolk, VA and Nina Suggs of Chesapeake, VA.  She is also survived by three grandchildren, Sawyer, Parker and Emma Burns.

     A private memorial service will be held at a later date.
