| Clarence Lawson Wright, 79, passed away on Thursday, June 30, 2011. A native of Cleveland County, he was the son of the late Dathia Alexander and Bertha Costner Wright. He was a member of Allen Memorial Baptist Church. Mr. Wright was a truck driver for Bost Bakery and Carolina Dairy for many years.
Mr. Wright is survived by his loving wife of 59 years, Betty Lou Wright; four daughters, Connie Lovelace and husband Richard of Grover, Kay Fulton and husband Gene of Spartanburg, SC, Debbie Moore and husband Robbie of Mt. Holly, Gail Wright of Grover; a brother, Earl Wright and wife Tois Wright; grandchildren, Brad Lovelace, Chris Hale, Josh, Jeremiah, and Justin Moore, Kayce Lane, and Katie Fulton; ten great grandchildren.
A funeral service will be held at 2:00pm on Sunday, July 3, 2011 at Allen Memorial Baptist Church. Burial will follow in the church cemetery. The Rev. Joe Riley, The Rev. Scott Hardin and The Rev. Robbie Moore will be officiating. The family will receive friends from 7:00 – 8:30pm on Saturday, July 2, 2011 at Cecil M. Burton Funeral Home and Crematory.
