Harold Dean Henson
 Harold Dean Henson, 71, of 1906 Sulphur Springs Road, went to be with the Lord on September 16, 2011 at Cleveland Regional Hospital.  A native of Cleveland County, he was the son of the late R.M. and Vernola Henson.  He retired from Curtis Wright Flight Systems of Shelby.  He was a member of Gantt’s Grove Baptist Church, Mooresboro, where he has served as a deacon, a Sunday school director, and a Sunday school teacher.  He will be remembered as a loving, caring, Christian man who was dedicated to family.  In addition to his parents, he was preceded in death by his brother, Gerald Richard Henson. 

Mr. Henson is survived by his wife of 52 years, Margaret Webb Henson; three sons, Rick D. Henson, James M. Henson and girlfriend Cynthia Davidson of Shelby, and Devon R. Greene of the home; three sisters, Jenette and husband Fred of Easley, SC; Deborah Henson of Shelby, and Teresa Greene and boyfriend Michael Dahms of Shelby; three grandchildren, Michael Dean Henson, Mandy Marburger and husband Jeff, Tiffany Mathis of Shelby; soon to be great grandchild Beckett Michael Marburger of Shelby; and many special nieces and nephews.

The family will receive friends from 6:00 – 8:00pm on Sunday, September 18, 2011 at Cecil M. Burton Funeral Home.  At other times the family will be at the home.  The funeral service will be held at Gantt’s Grove Baptist Church, Mooresboro, at 3:00pm on Monday, September 19, 2011.  The Rev. Robert Lane and the Rev. Roger Webb will be officiating.  Burial will follow in the Gantt’s Grove Church cemetery.
