Mrs. Mary Jacquelyn “Jackie” Hampton, of Shelby, NC, passed away Monday, June 28, 2010. A Memoial Service was held at Cecil M. Burton Funeral Home Chapel. 

Mrs. Hampton was preceded in death by her husband, Wesley Jack Hampton; and her parents, Milton Foley and Mardell Kathleen Wingo Foley.

She is survived by 3 daughters, Susan Greene of West Chester, PA., Sherry Hallam of Shelby and Janice Hampton of Largo, FL; 1 sister, Ida Elizabeth Loe of Garner, NC; 6 grandchildren; and 9 great-grandchildren.

In lieu of flowers, memorials may be made to: Aldersgate United Methodist Church, 1207 W. Dixon Boulevard, Shelby, NC 28152; or to: Relay for Life via Elizabeth School, 220 S. Post Road, Shelby, NC 28150.
