| Mrs. Janie Valentine, 95, of Cleveland County, passed away on Friday, March 18, 2011. A private graveside service will be held t Cleveland Memorial Park at a later date.
Mrs. Valentine was preceded in death by her husband, Lonus Valentine, Sr.; her parents, John T. Dameron & Mamie Stroup Dameron; her grandson, Victor Valentine; her brothers, Frank, Madison, Carlos and Luther Dameron.
She is survived by her sons, Lonus Valentine, Jr. of Cherryville and Ray Valentine of Shelby; three grandchildren and two great-grandchildren.
Memorials may be made to Ascension Lutheran Church, 300 N. Lafayette Street, Shelby, NC 28150.
