Jimmie Allen Johnson, 2013, of 7014 Lackey Road, Vale, died Friday, May 10, 2013 at his residence.
Born April 18, 1920 in Cleveland County, he was a son of the late Zeb Vance Johnson and Ola Marie Poole Johnson. He was retired from Mohegan Mills and was a member of Norman's Grove Baptist Church. Mr. Johnson served in the US Army during WWII.
In addition to his parents he was preceded in death by his wife, Juanita Lackey Johnson; son, Jimmie D. Johnson and five brothers, Thomas, Charles, Morris, Robert and Darlin Johnson.
Survivors include two sons, Randy Johnson and wife, Diane, and Ronald Johnson all of Vale; brother, Kenneth Johnson of Lincolnton; three sisters, Louise Yandle and Marie Avery both of Lincolnton and Shirlene Hartis and
husband, Roy of Charlotte; nine grandchildren, Nile, Cody, Randai, Stephanie, William, Thomas, Deana, Brandy and Kevin; thirteen great-grandchildren, Kayleigh, Jeremiah, Darian, Zach, Callie, Isaac, Graca, Gabe, Kelsey, Jesse, Payton, Braley and Faith; and three great-great grandchildren, Niko, Ryder and Jaylen.
Visitation: 5:00 PM to 6:00 PM, Monday at Norman's Grove Baptist Church, Lawndale
Funeral Service: 6:00 PM, Monday at Norman's Grove Baptist Church, Lawndale
Officiating: Rev. Keith Huss and Rev. Cecil Buff
Burial: Norman's Grove Baptist Church Cemetery, Lawndale
