| John Vinesett, 82, of 403 East Cherokee Street, passed away Wednesday, December 27th, 2011, at Spartanburg Regional Medical Center.
Mr. Vinesett was the husband of Mildred "Mickey" Dixon Vinesett of the home and the son of the late William and Doshie Vinesett. He proudly served his country for 28 years in the United States Army and was of the Baptist faith.
In addition to his wife, Mr. Vinesett is survived by two daughters, Laurel Romero of Alabama and Beverly Pennington of Blacksburg; a brother, Bobby Vinesett, of Blacksburg; two sisters, Helen Vinesett of Piedmont, SC and Brenda Painter of Gaffney; four grandchildren; and four great-grandchildren.
The family will receive friends Thursday, December 29, 2011, from 7:00 until 8:30 at Gordon Mortuary. Funeral services with full military rights will be held Friday, December 30, 2011, at three o'clock in the Gordon Mortuary Chapel. Interment will follow in the Grassy Pond Baptist Church Cemetery.
The family will be at the home of Beverly Pennington, 207 Sunset Drive, Blacksburg.
