Juanita "Nita" Cook Griffin
 Juanita "Nita" Cook Griffin, 81, of 1681 Fallston Road, Shelby, died
Wednesday, May 18, 2011 at Kings Mountain Hospice House in Kings Mountain.

Born March 10, 1930 in Cleveland County, she was a daughter of the late
Mackovie Cook and Delores Poole Cook.  She was a member of Northside Baptist
Church.

In addition to her parents she was preceded in death by a daughter, Dale
Ricker, sisters, Brenda Cook and Kathy Flynn and brothers, Stevie Cook, J.C.
Cook and Larn Cook.

Survivors: daughter, Jackie Hoyle and husband, Greg of Casar; granddaughter,
Hannah Hoyle of Casar; grandson, Jacob Hoyle of Casar; two
great-granddaughters, Maggie Shytle and Emma Hoyle of Casar; four sisters,
Martha Austin of Boone, Helen Wellman and husband, Cecil of Burke County,
Jane Lail and husband, Tom of Casar and Ann Pruett and husband, Boyd of
Casar; four brothers, Andy Cook and wife, Barbara of Vale, Michael Cook and
wife, Kathy of Casar, Robert Cook of Hickory and Jimmy Cook of Morganton;
and lots of special nieces and nephews and great nieces and nephews.

Visitation: 3:00 PM to 4:00 PM, Friday, May 20, 2011 at Northside Baptist
Church.

Memorial Service: 4:00 PM, Friday, May 20, 2011 at Northside Baptist Church

Officiating: Rev. Neal Efird

In lieu of flowers memorials may be made to Northside Baptist Church, 1220
Scenic Drive, Shelby, NC 28150 or to the Cleveland Rutherford Kidney
Association, 1017 N. Washington Street, Shelby, NC 28150.
