Lucille Bumgardner Willis
 Lucille Bumgardner Willis, 88, of 9381 Willis Rd. in Vale died Sunday, December 18, 2011 at home.

 

Born in Cleveland County, she was a daughter of the late Forrest Rayfield Bumgardner and Amanda Buff Bumgardner. She was retired from the lunchroom staff at Catawba County Schools. She was a member of Laurel Hill United Methodist Church where she was a Sunday School teacher for many years.

 

In addition to her parents, she was preceded in death by her husband, Thomas Seth Willis, brother, Homer Bumgardner, sister, Maudie Emogene Wright, granddaughter, Tonia Willis, and great grandson, Dustin Willis.

 

Survivors include son & daughter-in-law, Tommy & Robyn Willis of Vale, three daughters and two sons-in-law, Maxine & Charles Huffman of Vale, Pamela & Dennis Foxx of Connelly Springs, and Carolyn W. Norman of Vale, six grandchildren, Michael Norman of Vale, Allen Huffman of Vale, Debbie Wilson of Vale, Karen Norman Pruitt of Casar, Faith Foxx of Connelly Springs, and Danielle Foxx of Connelly Springs, five great grandchildren, Brandon Wilson of Vale, Matthew Pruitt of Casar, Zachary Pruitt of Casar, Kandace Pruitt Farmer of Vale, and Dallas Wilson of Vale, and one great great granddaughter, Maddie Lynn Farmer of Vale.

 

Visitation will be at Stamey Funeral Home from 6:00 until 8:00PM Tuesday, December 20, 2011.

 

The funeral service will be at Laurel Hill United Methodist Church at 2:00PM Wednesday, December 21, 2011 with the Rev. Jennifer Hege officiating. The body will be placed in the church thirty minutes prior to the service.

 

Burial will follow in the church cemetery.
