Mildred Geneva Peterson
 Mrs. Mildred Geneva Peterson, 76, of 622 Live Oak St., died Wednesday, March 30, 2011, at Cleveland Regional Medical Center. A native of Cleveland County, she was the daughter of the late Odus and Mary Hamrick Collins. Mary retired from Dover Mill and was a Sunday school teacher at First Wesleyan Church. She also had a love for animals.

PRECEDED: In addition to her parents, she is preceded in death by her husband, Boyd Peterson; and three brothers James Edward, Bobby, ad Wayne Collins. 

SURVIVED: She is survived by her three sons, Erby Peterson, Dennis Peterson and Tanya Smith, and Randy Peterson and wife Juanita, all of Shelby; daughter Doris Easler and husband Bernard, of Lawndale; five sisters Reba Sisk, Linda Thompson and Ken Ingle, all of Shelby, Brenda Pearson and husband Dan of Grover, Betty Scott and husband Richard of Shelby, and Patsy Stroup and husband Vernon, of Shelby; three brothers, Buddy Collins of Kings Mountain, Billy Ray Collins of Mooresboro, and Tommy Collins and wife Connie of Kings Mountain; six grandchildren, and fourteen Great grandchildren.

SERVICES: A funeral service will be held, Saturday, 11am, at Clay-Barnette Funeral Home Chapel.

VISITATION: The family will receive friends, Friday, 6-7:30, at Clay-Barnette Funeral Home and other times at the home.

CLERGY: Revs. Tommy Ward and Dean Lavender will be officiating.

BURIAL: Burial will immediately follow in Cleveland Memorial Park
