Minnie Mae Cline Boggs, 90, of Fallston Road, Fallston, passed away Monday, December 26, 2011 at Kings Mountain Hospice House.
Mrs. Boggs was born in Cleveland County, on May 7, 1921, to the late James Sylvester Cline and Mary Mae Wise Cline. She graduated from Fallston High School and Lenoir-Rhyne College. Mrs. Boggs was a teacher in Cleveland County for 38 years. She taught at Fallston, Casar, Belwood and Burns High School. Mrs. Boggs was a member of Normans Grove Baptist Church where she taught Sunday School, served as church treasurer and was active in Women on Mission. She was a member of Burns High Retired Teachers, and the North Carolina Mathematic Teachers.
Minnie Mae Boggs was a Christian wife, mother and educator. She devoted her life to caring for her family, students and community. Mrs. Boggs was always interested in the lives of her former students. She loved attending family and class reunions.
Mrs. Boggs was preceded in death by her parents, husband, John J. Boggs and brother, James S. Cline, Jr.
Mrs. Boggs is survived by her daughter, Ella Johnnette Boggs, at Shelby Manor and two sister-in-laws, Yvonne Cline, of Shelby and Betty Cornwell of Columbia, SC.
The family would like to thank the staff of Cleveland Pines and Hospice of Kings Mountain for the loving care and devotion they provided Minnie Mae Boggs.
Visitation: The family will recieve friends at the home of Jim Boggs, 5919 Fallston Rd., Lawndale, NC from 2:00 to 4:00 pm, Wednesday, and at Normans Grove Baptist Church, from 1:30 to 2:30 pm Thursday. Condolences may be made online at www.stameyfuneralhome.com.
Funeral: 2:30 pm, Thursday, at Normans Grove Baptist Church.
Officiating: Revs. Cecil Buff and Max Turner, Jr.
Interment: Rose Hill Memorial Park
