Mr. Moses was born in Gaston County on April 29, 1926 a son of the late William Guy Moses and Arrie Lail Moses.  He was a member of Davidson Memorial Baptist Church in Shelby and retired as a long line driver from Carolina Freight Carriers Corporation of Cherryville.  Mr. Moses served in the US Army during WWII.

Survivors include his four daughters, Sheila Mims of Gastonia, Rita Simons and husband Gary of Kings Mountain, Sharon Cash and husband Melton of Cherryville, and Anita Parker and husband Rick of Denver; a sister, Helen Eaker of Cherryville; six grandchildren and four great grandchildren.

In addition to his parents he was preceded in death by two sisters and one brother.

A Graveside Service will be held on Friday, March 30, 2012 at 3:00P.M. at Cherryville City Memorial Cemetery with the Rev. Jerry Lail officiating.

The family will greet friends following the graveside service.
