Ora Lee Scism Jones, 93, of 3739 Rube Spangler Rd, Lawndale, went to be with
her precious Lord on Saturday, May 21, 2011 at her home.
Mrs Jones was born in Cleveland County on August 30, 1917 to the late Odus
Scism and Minnie Walker Scism. She was a retired from Cleveland Mills and
Celanese and was a member of Lawndale Baptist Church.
In addition to her parents she is preceded in death by two daughters,
Rebecca Grigg and Carolyn Pritchard; and three son-in-laws, Carroll
Pritchard, Lewis Scruggs, and Charles Smith.
She is survived by a son, Jackie Jones and wife Agnes of Shelby; two
daughters Martha Jones and Amanda Scruggs both of Lawndale; sister, Marie
Harrison of Shelby; son-in-law, Owen Grigg of Lawndale; four granddaughters
and spouses, Beth and Bill McCoy, Sammi and Philip Wortman, Lori and Cliff
Nolan and Fredia and Shaun Walker; four grandsons and spouses, Charles and
Toni Pritchard, Gary and Violet Pritchard, Dennis and Denise Jones, and
Jonathan and Angie Grigg; seven great granddaughters and spouse, Kaley
McCoy, Lindsey McCoy, Taylor Nolan, Elise Grigg, Becka Walker, Jessica Hord,
and Heather and Anthony Mote; five great grandsons, Josh Wortman, Jacob
Wortman, Fred Pritchard, Josh Nolan, and Justin Grigg; special nephew, Roy
Wilson; and special friends C.B., Angel, Ashton, and Christopher Scruggs.
The family wishes to send a special thank you to all Hospice staff,
especially to Dr. James Potts, who always made her smile, Kim Strange, Wanda
Johnson, DeLynn Fitch, Cecilia Mitchell and volunteer, Linda Shope.
