Paul Rubin Leatherman
 Paul Rubin Leatherman, 86, of 1385 North Brook III School Rd. died Saturday
July 30, 2011 at CMC-Lincoln.

Born November 23, 1924 in Lincoln County, he was a son of the late John
Franklin Leatherman and Ethel Mae Houser Leatherman.

Mr. Leatherman was a retired weaver for JP Stevens and also a US Army
Veteran from WWII where he received a purple heart. He was a member of Mt.
Vernon Baptist Church in Vale.

In addition to his parents, he was preceded in death by a son, Paul Rubin
Leatherman Jr., two brothers, Pink and Zack Leatherman, and three sisters,
Ethel Crotts, Josephine Warlick, and Suzie Hoyle.

Survivors include his wife of sixty eight years, Katherine Beam Leatherman,
three sons and daughters-in-law, Kirby Dale & Marge Leatherman of Cary, Dan
& Tammy Leatherman and Patrick F. & Donna Leatherman of Vale, one daughter
and son-in-law, Shasta & Tommy Richardson, one brother and sisiter-in-law,
John & Evelyn Leatherman, six grandchildren, and three great grandchildren.

The graveside service will be Thursday August 4, 2011 at 11:00AM at Mt.
Vernon Baptist Church Cemetery with the Revs. Jeremy Mahaffey and Don Willis
officiating. 

Visitation will follow the graveside service.
