Simply stated, the Rock of Life concert held at Shelby’s Court Square this past Saturday, was a celebration of Carey Brooke Heavner,  two months shy of her 12th birthday. Carey started inspiring us when she was nine.  She showed us strength, hope, and courage. Everyone who knew her or became familiar with her fight against cancer was touched. Perhaps in her short life, Carey did more for many than some do who live a full life. We thank her for all she did and we’ll continue to do so. Now, God has another angel.
