September 2010 Commercial Appearance Award
  The Keep Shelby Beautiful Commission (KSB) presented the Keep Shelby Beautiful September Commercial award to the Cleveland County Arts Council located at 111 South Washington Street. The property was chosen because: The property enhances and preserves the natural environment, with its trees and landscape of flowers and shrubs; KSB recognizes the rehabilitation and preservation of a historic business and the  maintenance of this business property enhances the appearance of this area in uptown Shelby. KSB would also like to express their appreciation to the Raper-Roark Trust Fund for their recent contributions that provided the landscape improvements to the Cleveland County Arts Council. KSB is grateful for the continued efforts of the Raper-Roark Trust Fund  to keep uptown Shelby beautiful!
