Steve Silvers, age 48, of Rutherfordton, NC, died Sunday, January 16, 2011 at Rutherford Hospital.

     Steve was born on September 1, 1962 in Rutherford County to the late William Daniel Silvers and Mary Harper Silvers. He was a short haul truck driver and carpet installer.  He was an avid fisherman and enjoyed working on cars.  He was a member of Spindale Fellowship Holiness Church.

     In addition to his mother, survivors include four daughters, Kristy Miller and husband, Alan of Rutherfordton, Kayla Silvers Boone and husband, David of Rutherfordton, Jennifer York of Rutherfordton and Rebekah Simmons of Forest City; one brother, Jeff Silvers of Rutherfordton.  He is also survived by three grandchildren, Marissa Miller, Brayden Miller and Mayson Boone.

     Funeral services will be conducted at 7:00 p.m. on Thursday, January 20, 2011 at the Spindale Fellowship Holiness Church with Reverend Leon Brown officiating.  The family will receive friends from 5:00 p.m. until service time at the church. A private interment is planned.
