Thelma Wills Hicks, age 97, resident of Summit Place, died November 16, at Kings Mountain Hospital. She was born in Orange Co., NC, daughter of the late James and Mae Strowd Wills. In addition to her parents, she was also preceded in death by a son, Steve R. Hicks, a daughter, Lib Green, a grandson, Lonnie Burgess, III, 6 brothers and 1 sister. She was retired from the textile industry and worked 20 plus years at the Kings Mountain Aging Program at “the depot” and was member at Kings Mountain Baptist for over 50 years. She was a loving mother and grannie.
