The Bar H Arena in Boiling Springs will be hosting the 26th annual Bar H Championship Rodeo & Country Festival on Friday, May 10 and Saturday, May 11. The country festival begins each evening at 6:00 pm and the championship rodeo begins each evening at 8:00 pm. The admission price includes the country festival and championship rodeo.
There is something for everyone between the ages of 2-102. The country festival is full of free fun events such as kids carnival rides, hayride, bb shooting range, farm zoo, carriage rides, roping booth, music, and much more. Come early if you want to get close to doing everything.
Cody Town will be open along with the general store to view antiques of days gone by.
The Championship Rodeo begins at 8:00 pm. It includes the standard rodeo events as follows: bareback bronc, calf roping, cowgirls break away roping, team roping, cowgirls barrel race and the wild bull riding.
You will witness champion cowboys and cowgirls competing on award winning livestock for cash prizes and championship points. The rodeo is co-sanctioned by the Southern States Professional Rodeo Association and the National Cowboys Association.
This is the rodeo where “the big boys come to town.”
Admissions are being kept low. Adult advance ticket is $10.00 and adult gate tickets are $12.00. A child (6-12) advance ticket is $5.00, and the gate ticket is $6.00. Kids under 6 are free with a paying adult. Friday, May 11 is senior citizen night (over 60) and they will be admitted at a child’s price. Advance tickets will be on sale through Wednesday, May 8 at the following locations: Kelly Seafood-Shelby, Cleveland Feed & Farm Supply-Shelby, Humphries Quick Stop-Boiling Springs NC, Bridges Riding Equipment-Boiling Springs NC and Oakland Feed & Seed in Spindale. Group/Charity rates for 10 or more are offered through the Bar H Arena for the May 10 performance.
Flint Hill Baptist Church is again our main sponsor and will be providing some great food for sale. Come get a smoked turkey leg, Bar B Q, curly fries, hamburgers, hot dogs, corn on the cob and much more.
Get out your western clothes, round up the kids and come on out to the Bar H Arena for two evenings of family fun, great food, excitement, colorful production, and fast paced action. This is your chance to make a memory for you and your family.
