Aileen Elizabeth Dellinger Short Lagana, age 91, died Saturday, April 25, 2015 at White Oak Manor in Shelby. Born in Cleveland County on February 26, 1924 she was the daughter of the late C. L. and Susan Frances Royster Dellinger. Aileen was a member of Elizabeth Baptist Church for over 70 years. She was a member of the Joy Love Sunday School Class and the Senior Adult Choir. She also enjoyed volunteering in the church every chance she could. Aileen retired from Fasco after a number of years. She loved to play cards and Bingo. In addition to her parents, Aileen is preceded in death by two brothers, two sisters, and a son-in-law, Don Stroupe.

Aileen is survived by her husband of 29 years, Frank Lagana; two daughters, Jackie Stover and husband Phil of Mansfield, Texas, and Dian Stroupe of Cherryville; three grandchildren, Todd Blackwell and wife Denise, Brent Blackwell and wife Brooke, and Suzanne Leder and husband Kevin; and four great grandchildren, Kylie and Alex Blackwell, and Kendall and Quinn Leder.

Memorial service will be held on Thursday, April 30, 2015 at 11:00A.M. at Elizabeth Baptist Church with Dr. Rit Varriale and Rev. Jeff Brendle officiating. The family will receive friends an hour before the service from 10:00A.M. until 11:00A.M. in the sanctuary.
