Mrs. Alda Hoyle Crawley, 96 of 515 S. Generals Blvd., passed away November 11, 2013 at the Brian Center.

Born August 23, 1917 in Lincoln County, she was a daughter of the late Luther Hoyle, Sr. and Lula Williams Hoyle. 

In addition to her parents she was preceded in death by her husband, Russell Crawley; stepmother, Vinnie Hoyle; two brothers, Luther Hoyle, Jr. and Dean Hoyle; and a sister, Velma Abernathy.

Survivors include a brother, Herman Hoyle of Kings Mountain and three sisters, Bessie Neal of Conover, Ruth Sheets of Lake Wylie, SC and Mildred Chapman of Lincolnton.

The family would like to give a special thanks to Brian Center for their care and compassion.

Visitation will be 12:30 PM to 1:30 PM, Thursday at Stamey~Cherryville Funeral Home, Cherryville

Graveside Service will be 2:00 PM, Thursday at Bess Chapel United Methodist Church Cemetery with Rev. Tommy Reeves officiating.
